Return to Yourself
A somatic breathwork journey with Jean-Marie Pfeifer
Monday, June 29 · 7:00 pm EST
Finally feel alive in your body again, and access the peace, aliveness, and pleasure you’ve been longing for.

You’re not here to perform healing.
You’re here to come home.
Return to Yourself is a 90-minute live online breathwork session for women whose nervous systems are tired of pushing, bracing, managing, and holding everything alone. This is a space to soften, breathe, release, and remember what it feels like to be safe inside your own body.
Reserve Your SpotDoes this sound like you?
Your brain won’t stop. There’s always one more thing on the list, one more person to show up for, one more conversation replaying on a loop. It’s relentless.
You’re exhausted down to your bones — the kind of tired that sleep can’t even touch anymore.
You carry so much tension in your neck, your shoulders, your hips that your body has started to feel like a suit of armor you can’t take off.
The second your head hits the pillow, your brain starts cataloging everything — every email you didn’t answer, every single way you weren’t enough today.
You’ve tried the things. Therapy. Apps. Yoga. Meditation. Friends. Support. Still, something essential remains just out of your grasp.
Your body won’t let you rest. Your leg bounces. Your jaw clenches. Your hands need something to do. Even when you have permission to stop, your nervous system won’t believe it’s safe.
You desperately want peace, calm, freedom from tension, real ease, and access to the pleasure your body was born for.
You’re not broken. You’re exhausted.
And I’ve got you.
What if rest wasn’t a reward you had to earn through exhaustion?
What if your body wasn’t the problem to be managed, optimized, or overridden?
What if an hour and a half could give you back access to yourself?
Jean-Marie’s ability to hold space felt supportive and grounding. I felt secure, connected and clear after our session. She has the unique ability to meet you in the hard parts — and hold you in such gentle compassion that you can move into a more balanced state and take real, meaningful action in your life.

The truth nobody tells you
You’ve been trying to think your way through this space you’ve been stuck in. You feel like if you can name what happened, understand your patterns, and make sense of why your body won’t cooperate, you’ll finally be free.
All of those approaches are important. None of them are the whole story.
Because the stories your body holds live in your tissues, in the shallow way you’ve been breathing for years, in the way your jaw locks when someone needs one more thing from you.
Most healing approaches never make it all the way down into the body. And the body is where everything actually lives.
The heaviness that won’t lift. The numbness you can’t shake. The anxiety that keeps circling back no matter what you try. You can do all the right things and still wake up feeling like the ground underneath you keeps shifting.
Because what needs to move lives in your body, not your mind.
Why Somatic Breathwork
Many women who come to me have tried breathwork before and walked out feeling more disconnected than when they arrived. Floaty. Ungrounded. Like they left their body instead of coming home to it.
Sometimes it was a teacher who didn’t adequately prepare them. Other times the approach didn’t fully understand the nervous system. Often, it involved a style of breathwork designed for a totally different purpose being applied to trauma when it shouldn’t have been.
That’s not what we’re doing here.
The somatic breathwork I’ve practiced for years brings you all the way back in — into your bones, your muscles, your actual lived experience, so that what’s been locked in your shoulders, buried in your hips, and held in the tightness of your chest can finally begin to shift, open, and find release.
It’s finally time to:
- Stop bracing.
- Trust that you are held.
- Remember what it feels like to be safe inside your own body.
- Exhale all the way down.
Hi, I’m Jean-Marie
And I’m living proof that you can feel alive, free, and at home in your body — even when you never knew that kind of freedom was possible.
After 13 years in recovery and decades of experience working with women whose nervous systems are running on empty, I’ve learned that the most important thing about healing isn’t just talking about what happened or understanding the patterns that keep you repeating the same loop.
Freedom comes from allowing your body to release what it’s been holding — the grief, the rage, the fear, the exhaustion — so you can finally access what’s been waiting underneath.
- The joy you forgot you had access to.
- The pleasure that’s been waiting for a safe enough space.
- The version of yourself you can feel but haven’t been able to reach.
That’s why I created Return to Yourself — so you can feel peace in your bones, ease in your breath, and pleasure that lands all the way through you.

Here’s what happens when you join me
You’ll set an intention for yourself — just one or two words that capture why you’re here right now. Then the theme arrives. I guide you through journal prompts: gentle questions that help you land in your body and name what you’re carrying. You’ll write for about 10 minutes with no need to perform or produce, just letting what is true land on the page so your body knows it’s safe to begin.
Your nervous system gets the message: this is a safe space. You can soften here.
I walk you through exactly what’s about to happen: how the breath will move, what you might feel, and how to stay connected to yourself the entire time. Then we begin 40 minutes of guided somatic breathwork. Background music holds you while we move the breath through the body. The container of women breathing together reminds your body it’s not alone.
Layers begin to release. What’s been stored in your muscles, your breath, and your bones finally begins to move.
Following the breathwork session, you’ll spend 10 minutes in complete stillness. There is nothing more to do and nowhere else to be. Just your body, fully held and finally able to land. This is where integration begins: insights that arrive without force, clarity that comes from space instead of striving, or the feeling of coming all the way home to yourself.
You feel like you’re not carrying as much. Something lifted. Something let go.
We close the circle together. I offer another journal prompt — a place to capture what moved, what shifted, and what you’ll take with you. Then, if you want to, you can share with the group and be witnessed in your experience.
You remember there’s a version of you underneath all the managing, rushing, and striving. She’s just been waiting for a safe enough space to surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you arrive.
What happens during the 90 minutes?
We open with intention — just one or two words for why you’re here. Then I bring the theme and guide you through journal prompts, about 10 minutes of writing that helps you land fully in your body. I walk you through the breathwork before we begin, so you know exactly what to expect. Then 40 minutes of active breath, held by music and the container of the group, followed by 10 minutes of complete stillness. We close with another journal prompt and space to share if you want to.
How is somatic breathwork different from other breathwork I’ve tried?
Some breathwork takes you out of yourself — into altered states or a floaty feeling that leaves you more disconnected than when you started. My approach keeps you in your body the entire time: building safety in your nervous system, staying grounded in your actual experience, and allowing what’s been stored in your muscles and breath to move without fracturing. If breathwork has felt wrong before — like you left yourself instead of coming home — this will feel very different.
Do I need experience?
No. I walk you through everything from the moment we open. You don’t need to know anything about breathwork or have a spiritual practice or meditation background. You just need to show up exactly as you are — exhausted, skeptical, hopeful, all of it.
Is this safe if I have trauma or anxiety?
This practice is facilitated with trauma-informed care as the foundation. I move slowly and explain everything before it happens. We move at your pace throughout, and you are never asked to go faster or deeper than feels right for your body. You stay in complete control the entire time.
What if I get emotional?
Tears, shaking, laughter, sighs, rage, grief — all of it is welcome. These are signs that something is finally moving and what has been stuck is starting to release. Nothing you feel will be too much for this space. I’ve held all of it before, and I’ll hold it again with you.
Why don’t you announce the theme in advance?
Arriving without expectation means your body gets to lead instead of your mind preparing a response or building a story before we begin. You’ll find out the theme when we open together. Trust me on this — it makes the experience deeper.
Will there be a recording?
Yes. A full recording is sent to all registered attendees after the session. The live experience is powerful because of the container and co-regulation of breathing together, but the recording gives you access to the full guided journey, and many women say it’s just as transformative when they come back to it later.
Can I leave if it gets to be too much?
Always. You are in complete control from beginning to end. You can step away, stop the breath and rest, or leave the session entirely if you need to. You can always come back to the recording later.
What do I need to prepare?
A quiet space to lie down. Comfortable clothing. A blanket. A journal and pen. A glass of water nearby. That’s it. You’ll receive a full preparation guide after you register.
I promise: You don’t have to live like this anymore.
I see you. You’ve tried everything you know how to try. You’ve shown up for everyone else. You’ve held it together for a long time. This is a space for your nervous system to finally rest.
Reserve Your SpotA little more about me
I’ve owned multiple businesses. Raised a family alone. Stayed in motion because stopping felt impossible. I know what it means to be overextended, overworked, and overloaded. I know the importance of needing to slow down and connect.
I survived addiction, loss, trauma, and shame. I found a version of okay that felt like enough. But I couldn’t be still. I couldn’t be present. Because being present meant sitting with everything I had buried.
After years of searching — through recovery, through therapy, through every tool I could find — I discovered something nobody had told me existed: that healing could happen in the body.
I learned that my body itself was the doorway.
I’m not here as someone who has it all figured out. My experience-based knowledge allows me to hold space because I’ve been there. I have a very calm, grounding presence. And I hold that door open for you — with no judgment, no shame, with complete love and understanding.
I see you. I’ve been where you are. I understand where you’re at.
